PALS library system is hosting a webinar for their system members on hot school library topics including what ISLMA has to offer its members. They have extended the invitation to all ISLMA members who may be interested. On Wed., Sept. 10th, PALS is offering ISLMA: Get Active and Connected! from 3:00-4:00 p.m. via WIMBA which is a distance learning tool that you can access from your computer. The speakers are Randee Hudson, Becky Robinson, and Gail Janz from ISLMA. They will discuss topics such as how to get involved in ISLMA, the new ISBE standing rules changes regarding school libraries and staffing, and ideas on how to advocate for school libraries. Please register at www.palsnet.info/events. Note that there are two test session times scheduled for anyone who is new to WIMBA. It is best to try things out prior to the program in case any tweaking is needed. Please contact Jane Lesner at janel@palsnet.info with any questions.
